girl math

An iPhone app for the things you want but don't need

girl math

= basically free.

Want it? Park it. Girl Math holds it for a week, then asks if you still want it. Most of the time you don't, and every nope lands on your receipt as money you didn't spend.

Girl Math asking: You still want it? A sheer lace midi skirt whose price dropped to €62.30, with the buttons Nope, €89 earned and Yes, buying it.

The door

Girl-math your way in.

Everyone gets in. Your girl math sets the price, from €29 to €0. Three messages, make them count.

How it works

Want it? Park it.
The urge fades. The money stays.

Add screen: take a photo or paste a link.
  1. 1

    Park it from anywhere

In Instagram, Pinterest, Safari or any shop app: Share, then Girl Math. Or snap a photo in the shop, or paste a link. The name, price and photo fill in by themselves.

    SharePhotoLinkType it
  2. 2

    Let it cool off

Pick how long you'll think about it: 3 days, a week or a month. It waits in Pending. Every Sunday evening is decision day.

    Decide, with the real math

When the time is up you get a nudge. Girl math says it's free; real math, work math and cost per use say what it costs. If the price dropped meanwhile, you'll see that too.

    Keep the receipts

Every nope adds its price to your receipt. Money you didn't spend is money you made, and it's all there to flex.

The receipt

Money I didn't spend is money I made.

Eleven nopes in a couple of months, and it already pays for a trip. Invested instead, it's twice that in ten years.

Features

Small things that make you come back.

Not streaks, not guilt. Little wins, a nudge at the right time, and the number going up.

Price drops

Waiting can be cheaper.

Parked something with a link? Girl Math checks the price every few days. If it drops, you get a push and the new price waits on the card. Still want it? Now it costs less.

Decide screen with a lime banner: Price dropped to €62.30 at YOOX, was €89.00.
Milestones

First nope. €500. €5,000.

Eight milestones, never lost. The next one always shows how close you are.

Milestones screen: 5 of 8 reached, 25 nopes is 14 more nopes away.
Monthly recap

Your month, on one receipt.

On the 1st: what you said no to, what you bought, and which mood cost you most. Flex it as a picture.

September recap: €456 not spent, late night cost you most.
Saving for

Let the nopes pay for Lisbon.

Name a goal, with an end date if you like: No-Buy November is one tap. Every nope fills the ring, and when it's done there's a receipt to post.

Saving for Lisbon trip: €691.90 of €800, 8 nopes in.
Widget

The number, on your home screen.

Money not spent, and how many things are ready to decide. On the Lock Screen too.

Home screen widget: Not spent €742.39, 3 ready to decide.
Moods

Which mood costs you most?

Tag how you feel when you park: bored, sad, celebrating, late night. The pattern shows up fast.

Your moods: celebrating costs you most.
Gift list

Parked it? Let someone else buy it.

Put parked things, or nopes you pick, on your gift list and share one link. Friends open it in any browser, no app needed, and tap "I'll get this" so nobody buys it twice. You never see who.

FAQ

Good questions.

Is it a budgeting app?

No bank connection, no categories, no spreadsheets. It's one habit: wait before you buy. Girl Math counts what you didn't spend, not what you did.

Where can I park things from?

Anywhere with a Share button: Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Safari, Chrome, Zara, H&M, Vinted. Or take a photo in a shop, or paste a link. See the guide for adding Girl Math to your share menu.

What happens when the time is up?

You get a reminder and the thing moves to Ready to decide. Say nope and its price lands on your receipt. Buy it and it moves to Bought, with a reminder before the return window closes. Or give it one more week.

How do price drops work?

For things you parked with a link, Girl Math checks the shop's price every few days. When it's 3% or more lower, you get a notification and the new price shows on the card.
